Careers with Children

I Am Lucky!

When you think things are bad,

when you you feel sour and blue,

when you start to get mad…

you should do what I do…

Just tell yourself, Duckie,

you’re really quite lucky!

Some people are much more…

oh, ever so much more

oh, muchly much-much more

unlucky than you!”

-Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are? By Dr. Seuss

Welcome to Careers With Children. I currently teach two courses at El Toro High School, an Internship and a Co-Op. Both are what I hope you find to be a fun and a hands-on approach to either learning or expanding your knowledge of child growth, development and behaviors of children. In addition to this, I want each of you to also grow on a personal level with job and career skills.

I attended Irvine Valley College/Saddleback College and Cal State Fullerton studying child development. I was a preschool teacher for over sixteen years, including time as a director of a private school. I have also worked in elementary schools and have experience with a variety of school-age students.

I look forward to working with each of you and having a worthwhile semester!
