Dan Shell's work experience in food service includes work as a busser, cook, waiter, and kitchen manager for Marie Calendars Restaurant and Coco's Restaurant. Mr. Shell has a Bachelors degree in History and a Masters of Education with a specialty in Integrating Technology in the Classroom. He has designated teaching credentials in Business and Social Studies and vocational credentials in Food Service and Photography.
The Food Service Co-op class gives students an opportunity to earn credits while learning service and food prep skills on the job. Mr. Shell supplements their on-the-job training experience with classroom instruction aimed at making them more valuable and more marketable employees.
Visual Imagery explores digital and film photography. The students use Photoshop for digital image manipulation and a photography lab for film. This is a two semester class that includes a unit on art history, portrait studio photography, and job search skills.
