After 12 years as a framing contractor, I decided to go back to school. In 1992 I finished my quest for a drama degree at UC Irvine and set out to conquer the world. My path led me to a teaching job in Asia. Not exactly what I had in mind after 5 years in college. I spent the next 6 years teaching in Japan and Korea while making my home in the Philippines. The Asian economic crisis of ’97 brought me back to California where I accepted the job as Technical Director at the Huntington Beach Academy For The Performing Arts. What started out as a Technical Theater class of 15 students in 1998, is currently home to over 70 technical theater majors. I think my job is the greatest in the world and I love working with the students here. Their tireless energy and love for the arts keeps me young.
